Buying gifts, man turn money from the everyday objects into objects that carry a special meaning and significance. Communication by things is connection of souls, because thing in itself has a soul, so to give something to someone means to give a piece of yourself. In fairy tales, most of wonderful things hero doesn’t find, he gets it as gift: a ball that points a way, a ring that is executing desires, etc. Such things are never taken by force, and they couldn’t be taken with force. Such things become a reward for warmth, responsiveness, hard work. Even Jesus disciples were indignant: "Since youre so good, it would be better to sell oil and give money to the poor people!" Most likely, it wasn’t easy for this not wealthy woman to give such insanely expensive gift. Surely she paid for the pound of this oil her accumulations for many years. Brought, poured on Jesus feet and wiped with her hair. And she said nothing. But this was a real gift.
